Why I wake up at 5 a.m.

Successful people are up early to crush the day

Wake up!

How many people here have more excuses than they have results?

It's ok. You can raise your hands. Many times I feel the same way, some people say I do more, but sometimes I do not feel that way.

But there was a point in my life when I used to wake up at 7am, 8am, 9am, heck I remember in my college days I used to wake up at 12 am, but I never accomplished anything. Even though half the day was gone already, more people were accomplishing more than I had. I was barely accomplishing anything and I had nothing off of my check list.

And I realized, I was making bad decisions, I woke up late, I ate the wrong things, I hung out with the wrong people, but until I started making the right decisions, making the right daily choices every single morning; things started to change. So, every morning I get up at 5am.

Once I made that decisions, I started getting more results, because I was up earlier, so it made me want to make other better decisions. So I started eating better, I started to hang out with the right people when I made that decision to wake up at 5am every morning.

Now, do I love getting up at 5am? No! Nobody does, but I do it out of habit. I do it out of duty.

I was reading an article about Lebron James, 3 time champion, 3 final MVPs, averaged a triple double in the Finals and he gets up at 5am. Even in the off season when he is not playing, he gets up at 5am. Undefeated boxer, Floyd Mayweather wakes up at 5am and sometimes 4am, if he is preparing for a fight. I was also reading a Forbes article that said the top CEOs for the top Fortune 500 companies wake up at 5am. So why in the world, would I wake up any later and why would you?

You said you want to be successful, you said you want to be great, you said you want to be above average, you said you want to be a legend, you said you want to be a millionaire, you said you want that great relationship, and you said you want to be the best, so you have to wake up early, because the early bird gets the worm.

What is the warm? A better body, better health, a better relationship, better food, better places to travel, a better life, a better circumstances, see that is the worm, but you have to make the decision today to wake up early.

I was listening to Napoleon Hill who said, “An analysis of several 100 people who have accumulated fortunes well above the million dollar mark, disclosed the fact that every one of them had the habits of reaching decisions promptly and had the habit of changing these decisions slowly.” Make the decision to wake up early, once you do that, things will change for you. You’ll beat the Sun! See, even the Sun can not be your boss to tell you when to wake up. Champions make their own decisions.

Make the decision to wake up early every morning to crush the day! Once you do that, you see how much results you have versus excuses.
